SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Plant Financial Analyst actively manages the monthly financial closing and preparation of financial statements and analyses. This role will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls that meet internal and external requirements. The Plant Financial Analyst has overall responsibility for maintaining โ€œbalance sheet and income statement integrityโ€ including timely reconciliation of accounts. This position reports to the Plant Controller and works closely with the Controller and site for all accounting, reporting, policy, control and other relevant topics to ensure consistency and accountability.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reviews to ensure a timely and accurate month end close process, as well as facilitate the reporting of monthly financial statements, weekly operational dashboards and other ad hoc reports.
  • Coordinates, processes, and analyzes production data from ERP system for various accounting expense accounts; including but not limited to freight, sales, labor, inventory, scrap, and revenue.
  • Maintains and reviews general ledger activity daily.
  • Manages projects (capital and tooling) โ€“ cash flow/ expenses/revenue and all associated tracking and schedules.
  • Collaborate, prepare, review, and maintain capital expenditure requests with onsite leadership team.
  • Manages new program financial tracking and analysis and work with program finance to ensure quoted margins are adhered to.
  • Serves asย a financial contact at the plant to help activities related to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
  • Assists the Plant Controller to compile data and file state taxes (Sales & Use)ย monthly as directed.ย 
  • Identifiesย systems process improvements and leads implementation of changes.
  • Supports any additional projects/assignments for audit, month end, yearend procedures.ย

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business or Accounting
  • 4 years of financial experience in a manufacturing industry setting is highly preferred.ย 
  • Proved ability to collaborate, track, and lead cross-functional meetings/projects to completion
  • Proficient of key Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
  • Working experience with a manufacturing ERP system, such as Plex or IQMS a plus
  • Experience in a shared service (e.g. accounts payable or accounts receivable) roles - not required butย is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse work group at all levels of the organization and across countries.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Travel will be minimal (less than 10%).
