This position provides financial data and expertise for sound decision making, forecasting and business planning activities related to system related financial goals. The financial analyst is responsible for the budget process and various analyses by using EPSi (decision support system). Accuracy and attention to detail is extremely important.
Education required:Β High School/GED
Education preferred: Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting
Experience:Β Β Two to four years in healthcare accounting/decision support environment preferred, or other applicable accounting experience. New graduates accepted.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of budgets, accounting and / or financial principles. Knowledge of basic medical records terminology. Experience with Allscripts/EPSi, other cost accounting or decision support tools is a plus. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and consistency of work in all aspects of the job. Ability to reason and solve problems independently. Self-starter with ability to function independently and work effectively as part of a team. Effective time management, multitasking and prioritization skills. Experience with data manipulation and large amounts of data a plus. Advanced spreadsheet skills, including formulas, formatting and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lead presentations and conduct training. Highly effective verbal communication and proficient written skills. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
