Role Summary/Purpose:
In this role, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing valuable financial insights into both the General Accounting and Cost Accounting areas.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to assess business performance, trends, and forecast future financial outcomes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, assuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on financial performance, including variance analysis, and present findings to senior management.
- Cost Accounting: Set standard cost on all new part numbers. Participate in the annual cost accounting process including variance analysis.
- Accounts Receivable: Process daily AR including credit and collections activities and sales tax exemption certificate requirements by customer.
- Month End process: Perform month end closing entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as accounting, operations, purchasing and sales to gather data, evaluate financial impacts, and provide actionable insights.
- Participate in projects as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of Finance experience in Manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years Cost Accounting and financial analysis experience
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
- Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance
