JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst - Operations, will play a critical role in driving financial performance, efficiency, and cost optimization within FIFCO USA’s brewery.   This role is responsible for accurately stating the brewery’s financial performance and working with the management team to support decision making and align yearly strategic objectives. The analyst must also be able to construct, monitor, and relay actual results vs. budget and help the management team understand their financial objectives and outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

BUDGETING/FORECASTING:

  • Assistance in creating, tracking, monitoring and reporting on the annual Operations cost budgets.    
  • Partner with all facets of the brewery to provide financial support including budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial needs of operations 
  • Improve and update the annual budget process (including quarterly estimates).                             
  • Forecast and report conversion cost performance across all manufacturing departments monthly.                                          

COST ANALYSIS & MANAGEMENT  

  • Assist in developing all components of standards costs, including allocation of overheads.                
  • Evaluate and support Capital Expenditure business case builds to ensure future investments meet financial guidelines.  
  • Provide support for materials management organization to optimize purchasing strategy and negotiation of supply agreements.        
  • High focus on Logistics and Warehousing operations to optimize cost performance and provision of third-party logistics support to contract partners.  
  • Deliver metrics and reporting tools to support improvement in management of maintenance operations and other key support organizations for the brewery.    

OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE METRICS       

  • Work with the Operations team to explain budget variances, help identify corrective actions to mitigate risks. Analyze results to provide Management with summary detail on overall Brewery performance using monthly report cards.                                         
  • Support the analysis of COGS monthly operational results and variance analytics with the FIFCO USA Finance team. Reviews include department labor and non-ingredient expenses and the impact volume and mix on operational performance.    
  • Develop and track KPI’s for Manufacturing Operations such as efficiency, yield, waste reduction and downtime.                             
  • Improve and update the breweries current packaging capacity planning forecasting model based on new demand forecasts (S&OP). 
  • Support in the creation and revision of yearly gainsharing levels and metrics. Track and report Gainsharing results on a quarterly basis.                          
  • Assist with internal and external audits. 
  • Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree with a Finance concentration required
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably process manufacturing) required
  • Knowledge of or exposure to operations accounting is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills are required    
  • COGNOS reporting tools experience is desirable        

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • This position is a hybrid role with greater than 50% of working hours on site at the brewery.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $67,300 – 100,900/year, not including benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at FIFCO USA, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to enable future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package!
