This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Chicagoβs West Fulton Market District with a weekly hybrid work schedule.Β
An employee shuttle to and from OgilvieΒ Transportation and Union Station is provided, as well as subsidized parking in our buildings attached garage.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will support the Corporate Manager of FP&A and be responsible for comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the full Profit and Loss statement with an emphasis on COGS and other items. The role involves comprehensive analysis of financial results, short-term and long-term forecasting, monthly financial reporting, and working cross-functionally with the Accounting and operational functions. The individual will play a critical role in driving cost optimization, improving quality of earnings performance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making across the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Full P&L Financial Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the full P&L, including revenue, COGS, gross margin, operating expenses, and SG&A. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities to optimize profitability across the business. Provide insights into profit margins and highlight key drivers of financial performance across different business units and departments.
- Comprehensive Budgeting & Forecasting: Support Business Leaders in the annual budgeting process for the full P&L, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals, strategic objectives, and key initiatives. Collaborate with department heads to develop monthly/quarterly forecasts, integrating changes in revenue, costs, and capital expenditures into the P&L model.
- Reporting & Variance Analysis: Provide detailed P&L reports and variance analysis, explaining discrepancies between actuals, forecast, and budget. Investigate and communicate the root causes of performance deviations, and offer corrective actions to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with key departments (i.e. Sales, Operations, Marketing, HR, IT, etc.) to understand variance drivers, support decision-making, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of all relevant expense categories.
- Scenario Modeling: Perform business scenario modeling to assess the impact of potential business decisions, such as headcount planning, departmental spending initiatives, and efficiency improvements. Support decision-making with data-driven insights.
- Systems & Data Management: Leverage tools like EPM, JDE, BI, and Excel to mine and analyze data, ensuring the availability of accurate and timely financial information for decision-making. Develop custom reports in collaboration with IT to meet specific analysis needs.
- Month-End & Financial Close: Collaborate with accounting team to support the month-end close process with a focus on accurate reporting and reconciliation. Ensure that all entries are properly recorded and aligned with financial policies.
- Internal Controls: Maintain appropriate internal controls and safeguards over financial reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis & Reporting: Perform additional ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA preferred.
- Experience: One to three years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Prior experience with cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting is highly desirable.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and common database reporting tools. JDE, EPM, and BI experience is preferred.

- Strong Time Management & Deadline Orientation: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data and insights in a clear, concise, and actionable manner. Experience in communicating with both financial and non-financial stakeholders, including senior management.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather insights, share financial data, and provide recommendations. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with various departments to ensure alignment on financial objectives.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring that financial data is accurate, and that analysis is thorough. Ability to spot trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement in SG&A and other financial metrics.
Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $80,000 to $85,000.Β In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
