The Hospitality Financial Analyst will provide analytical support for Harwoodβs multi-year financial modeling and strategic planning, with a focus on hotel and hospitality operations. This role involves assisting in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and investment analysis for various hospitality ventures, including hotels, restaurants, and real estate developments.

Job Functions
- Provide analytical support for Harwood's multi-year financial modeling and strategic planning processes, with a focus on hospitality and hotel operations.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and monthly and quarterly reforecasting processes, incorporating hotel revenue streams, occupancy rates, and hospitality trends.
- Update consolidated financial reporting packages, including key performance metrics for hotel and hospitality operations.
- Analyze new investment opportunities in various areas of the business, including real estate investments, development and construction, restaurants, hotels, and hospitality ventures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as hotel RevPAR, ADR, occupancy rates, and guest satisfaction scores, and provide explanations for variances.
- Build financial system expertise, develop financial applications, and implement policies and procedures to optimize financial system efficiency and cost management, particularly for hospitality operations.
- Assist in the preparation of cash forecasts, including analyses of actual cash flow vs. forecast, with consideration of seasonal fluctuations in hotel and hospitality revenue.
- Perform various cash management tasks as needed and assigned, including assistance with daily cash management and month-end cash accounting, hotel accountancy administration, and reconciliations.
- Analyze internal controls and financial procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards in hospitality and hotel operations.
- Support the ongoing updating and testing of internal controls, particularly in revenue management, expense control, and cost efficiency for hospitality businesses.

Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Hospitality Management, or Real Estate.
- 1-4 yearsβ experience as a or related position, with experience in hospitality or hotel finance.
- Working knowledge of financial and management reporting in the hospitality industry, with the ability to develop visual data formats preferred.
- Experience in real estate and hospitality financial modeling.
- Familiarity with hospitality accounting principles, including revenue recognition, cost control, and operational budgeting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Experience with hospitality-focused financial software (e.g., Opera, HotSOS, MRI, or Compeat/CTuit) is a plus.
