This is a paid internship for current students at an accredited college. The pay rate is from $18 to $20 per hour (with effect from 1/2/2025) based on current class year. This internship will begin in Summer 2025 and has the potential to continue into the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.ย
Interns must be located in New York State or an immediately adjacent state while working. It is expected that interns will follow our telework policy, with a combination of in-office and remote work. Interns work up to 18.5 hours per week during the semester, and up to 37.5 hours per week between semesters, when not attending classes.ย
The Data Solutions team seeks an intern who has eye for design and possesses a basic understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). ย The Data Solutions team is part of NYSERDAโs IT Department and supports teams across the Authority by conducting spatial analyses; creating maps images for published reports, presentations, website content; and designing interactive dashboards. Interns with an interest in analyzing and visualizing spatial data, and energy efficiency and renewable energy are encouraged to apply. ย The selected intern will gain skills using specialized GIS and data visualization software while learning about NYSERDAโs breadth of program offerings.
