We are searching for a Marketing Business Analyst to help us drive excellence in the marketing function of our business. This role is focused on using technology and complex analytics methods to extract, compile, assess and report on business data that allows Marketing and Operations team members to make strategic decisions such as the effectiveness of various revenue channels and advertising/promotion methods. In addition, this role will be responsible for monitoring the performance of key marketing elements such as our 3rd party call center and corporate website. This role will also work closely with 3rd party vendors and our internal Development team on new and existing systems integrations in the Marketing area.
Responsibilities/Tasks
Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
Provide ongoing analysis and reporting to guide strategic marketing decisions. This would include decisions surrounding allocation of resources to various channels including advertising/promotion
Monitor the performance of our corporate website and 3rd party call center
Participate in property performance calls and provide information sets to key decision makers
Work with Development teams to 1) automate and improve existing reporting and marketing processes and 2) create and improve existing 3rd party integrations
Provide support to Operations Group for other ad hoc analysis
Focus on high priority internal initiatives including:
Development, implementation and ongoing management of comprehensive customer experience and online reputation/brand strength measurements
Development, implementation and ongoing management of customer demographics tracking to facilitate strategic business decisions
Qualification
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing, Business, Technology/Engineering or other related field
Proven market research analysis experience a plus
Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
Familiarity with CRM programs
Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling and mining with experience writing SQL code highly valued
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and 3rd Party reporting tools an asset
Strong analytical skillset including expert level Excel skills
