Job Summary:ย ย ย 

The Membership Data Specialist will play a key role in cleaning, analyzing, and producing visualizations from our customer relationship management (CRM) system to optimize membership engagement, campaign effectiveness, and overall direct marketing goals. This position will support cross-departmental teams by providing actionable insights, ensuring data integrity, and managing the seamless integration of new systems and processes.ย ย 


Essential Function:ย ย ย 

  • Maintains and ensures the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data within the CRM system.ย ย 
  • Analyzes membership data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for engagement and retention.ย ย 
  • Creates and manages dashboards, provides campaign forecasts, weekly reports monitoring campaign progress, and visualizations to support decision-making across teams.ย ย 
  • Conducts audits and troubleshoots data discrepancies, ensuring consistent data hygiene practices.ย ย 
  • Conducts direct mail data list pulls on all outgoing marketing efforts.
  • Develops and implements segmentation strategies to target and personalize membership campaigns.ย ย 
  • Partners with IT and vendors to implement system improvements, integrations, and upgrades.ย ย 
  • Supports data integrations with current and new systems. Works with team members and vendors to ensure architecture is functioning as desired.ย 
  • Provides monthly cost reports, and other reports as requested, to the Accounting Department.ย 
  • Assembles all cost profiles, campaign reports, premium setup for all online initiatives. Assists in monitoring online pages for issues and areas of improvement.ย 
  • Works with supervisor in reviewing monthly responsibility reports. Ensures monthly expenses and revenue are hitting correct cost centers and analyzes unknown costs.ย 
  • Monthly seed tracking and maintenance.ย 
  • Provides data and assists with drawings for winners of direct response marketing sweepstakes campaigns and other department prize drawings.ย 
  • Collaborates with the Membership team to optimize CRM workflows, automations, and reporting capabilities.ย ย 
  • Trains team members on CRM system usage, reporting tools, and best practices.ย ย 
  • Assists in managing campaigns by tracking performance metrics and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.ย ย 
  • Monitors data security and compliance with privacy policies and regulations.ย ย 
  • Assists with proofing direct mail materials throughout various production stages, including initial proofs, plate proofs, variable data, and insertion proofs. Help ensure accuracy of print specifications through Creative Service job requests, printer quotes and proofs.ย ย 
  • Assists with implementation of direct marketing projects, as determined by supervisor, including, but not limited to, direct mail, email, advertising, trade shows and promotions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field.ย ย 
  • 2+ years of experience in CRM management, data analysis, or a related role. Experience in a membership organization is a plus.ย ย 
  • Understanding of CRM platforms (e.g., Oracle / NetSuite, Salesforce, Blackbaud, Raiserโ€™s Edge) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).ย ย 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge and support of the RMEFโ€™s mission, goals, and activities. Must have a strong conservation ethic.
  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and reporting tools, with a demonstrated ability to manage and analyze complex datasets (e.g., Python, R, Power Query, Power BI).
  • Must have knowledge of database management, data governance, and SQL, with proficiency in relational databases and ETL processes for integrating CRM systems with other platforms.
  • Must have strong mathematical aptitude and statistical skills, with the ability to determine relevant data, ensure accuracy, and maintain data integrity.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying opportunities for improvement and adapting to changing responsibilities.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) to present complex data clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively prioritize multiple projects, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

The employee must sit or stand for long periods of time; use a computer terminal; reach forward and to the side; bend from both standing and sitting position; and lift items weighing various pounds, including some heavy lifting. Some travel may be required.ย
