Responsibilities






The Oncology Clinical Data Analyst is responsible for the abstraction and integrity of data for several databases including, but not limited to, Society of Thoracic Surgery (STS), Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI), Lung Cancer Screening, and other topic and/or disease-specific patient registries. This individual will ensure efficient and timely reporting for the oncology patient registries and serve as a resource for oncology program coordinators, administrators, physicians, and other hospital staff members. This role will support help support lung & esophageal case abstraction for the Society for Thoracic Surgery. 









Qualifications






REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health-related field, healthcare informatics, or equivalent experience related to collection and analysis of clinical data. 2. Minimum two years experience in a healthcare setting with responsibilities including: medical record review, data submission to clinical registries, and quality assurance and improvement. 3. Demonstrated experience in evaluating, refining, and improving clinical data collection, analysis, and reporting.
PREFERRED:
1. Advanced computer skills with spreadsheets and report writing. 2. Knowledge of statistical concepts or experience with statistics. 3. Database data entry and/or management experience. 4. Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience.
