Summary

The Business Analyst will work within the Division of Data Services & Analytics (DDSA) Data Sharing team to manage and document project and request requirements. ย The ideal candidate will utilize their experience and skill set to coordinate internal and external requests for data from the NYS Department of Healthโ€™s Medicaid program. The candidate will follow established processes, align with federal and state laws and regulations, and provide creative solutions to complex problems with multiple stakeholders.

Comprehensive on-the-job training and peer/supervisory support will be provided. The candidate should be able to take on new tasks and subject areas, willing to work in a team environment, and able to adjust to multiple priorities successfully.

ย Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required.
  • At least 4 yearsโ€™ experience in related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret business needs and connect to technical specifications and policy requirements.
  • Understand organizational vision and standards relevant to individual requests/projects and identify requirements to achieve success.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to move projects forward.
  • Experience creating document/report templates and documentation.
  • Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word required; experience with SharePoint, Teams, Power Point, and Visio preferred.
