Job Summary


The Recruiting Data Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance and organization of the Recruiting Department prospective student database. This will include deduplication, data importation from various collection points, and management of data entry with WCU student workers. This position will also work as a point of contact for on-campus recruitment efforts including assisting with campus tours and assisting with all recruitment events.

  • Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.

  • Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.

  • Specific duties are as follows:

    Β 

    • Maintain current knowledge and training of the University and campus-wide systems used for recruitment and admissions.

    • Assist in executing events sponsored by the Recruiting Department.

    • Manage compilation incoming student data lists and data sources.

    • Implement recruitment mailing campaigns.

    • Assist Recruitment Coordinator with QR, Mach form, and recruitment software management.

    • Oversee recruitment material requests including the digital request form receipt and communication.

    • Receive rollover calls from the recruiting department line when staff are on the other line.

    • Assist with on campus recruitment efforts including campus tours and events.

  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary for the operation of the Recruiting Department.

  • Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Recruiting Department.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Excellent customer service skills


Preferred Qualifications



  • Relevant connection with WCU

  • Customer service experience

  • Office experience

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite – particularly Excel


Physical Demands



  • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, and to use standard office equipment including a computer.

  • Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

  • Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

  • Must have strength and agility to move files, paper boxes, and minor office equipment

  • Must have ability to lift and carry 25 pounds

  • Must be able to maintain office hours and perform duties in an on-campus setting
