The successful candidate will be acting as the forefront liaison between the business stakeholders and the assigned technical resources and have prior experience partnering with marketing teams from an IT perspective.

This Technical Data Analyst will be an integral member of the Data Management team responsible for empowering our business decisions based on the whole information provided in time. Implementing technology solutions in a cost-effective manner by determining the requirements of a project or program, leading or participating in the solution and design of requirements implementation and communicating results to/obtaining signoff from stakeholders.Β

The Technical Data Analyst differs from a traditional data analyst in that they may not only possess moderate-expert level traditional data/business analyst skills but expected to wield proficiency in one or more technical disciplines within data management and/or application development.Β

  • Provide cross-functional, matrixed leadership to technology initiatives
  • Participates in logical and/or physical design of systems
  • Gather, translate, and document business requirements
  • Write test scripts and conduct testing of reports or other deliverables
  • Support reporting and analytics, such as KPIs, financial reports, and creating and improving dashboards
  • Write SQL queries to extract data from the data warehouse
  • Translate data concepts and standards into visualizations, metrics, and goals
  • Create high quality technical and end-user documentation
  • Participate in every stage of the software development and/or implementation lifecycle, from analysis and design through testing, release, and maintenance while adhering to current Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
  • Work on complex business projects and provide advice and counsel to their customers on solution options, costs, timelines, designs, and implementation








Qualifications






  • Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years in Information Technology and Business Industry
  • 7+ years working on moderate-to-complex projects or systems
  • Understanding of Web Service concepts with ability to test services and interpret responses (e.g., Salesforce, CRM, Marketing Cloud, Google, Google Analytics, API Interfaces, etc.)
  • Salesforce CRM and/or Marketing Cloud is a plus
  • Understanding of marketing campaigns, advertising agencies, brand strategies, sales support, lead generation, and marketing metrics
  • Experience partnering with marketing to provide data analytics, workflows, and integration concepts
  • Knowledge of marketing issues and needs and how the processes flow at a high level
  • Demonstrated skills in data research, requirements gathering and analysis
  • Experience with conversion of business and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and stories with acceptance criteria
  • Knowledgeable with system and system integration design based on requirements
  • Comfortable with relational and data warehouse designs, operability, and analysis
  • Experience with testing stages through the SDLC and capable of writing and executing test plans and cases
  • Strong background with risk assessment, problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Must possess strong quantitative mindset and analytic capabilities
  • Strong T-SQL and Microsoft Excel is required
  • Data modeling concepts and creation/interpretation of entity-relationship diagrams
  • Authoring and interpreting of structured query language (SQL)
  • Prior experience leading Data Governance concepts such as data quality, data catalog/lineage, and MDM
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Lean Methodologies
  • R and Python knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to explain technology in business terms
