Senior Financial Analyst

JM&A Group is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the enterprise on short-term and long-term financial efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce a scenario-based long-range plan that allows management’s decision-making flexibility
  • Analyze actual results to identify trends and monitor variances to the prior year and budget
  • Be a subject matter expert on financial models and technical financial knowledge to consult with stakeholders on various model outputs such as EPM and EVA templates used for capital expenditure requests
  • Continuously improve financial models and reporting solutions by studying and proposing changes in methods and materials
  • Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards and reporting solutions such as a balanced scorecard
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Deliver quality and timely financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting that adds value to both the operational and strategic decision-making process
  • Show technical finance knowledge, and modeling capabilities and be viewed as a strategic partner to the finance organization and business partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, or economics
  • 5-7 years of work experience in the related area
  • Robust analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
  • Solid project management skills, including organization, planning, and execution
  • Consistently provide high-quality work to SVP/EVPs
  • Able to present to senior leaders, discuss analytics, and provide data-based views that may differ from management views
  • Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
  • Confidence to bring up data gaps and provide insights into why
  • Challenge ways of working and strive to continually elevate
  • Well-developed financial knowledge to connect business levers to macro-economic and external trends and recommend actions
  • Ability to work successfully in both team and self-directed environments
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced Excel and Oracle EPM skills required
  • Experience with Essbase is preferred
