Position Summary

 

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Sensience commercial teams (Sales, Product Management, and Demand Planning) and provide financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support. This individual will be crucial business partner to Sales and Product Management, providing robust FP&A support, and taking on additional finance-related duties as required. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

 

Position Responsibilities

 

Commercial Finance & Demand Planning

  • Pricing and New Business: Partner with the Sales and Product Management teams to evaluate pricing strategies, assist in new product launches, support customer quoting, and assess market opportunities
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Provide Sales and Product Management teams with analysis and insight to evaluate existing portfolio performance
  • Demand Forecasting: Support the development and management of accurate demand forecasts using statistical tools and historical sales data
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI): Support KPI development and tracking, driving accountability and improvement across all Sensience core functions.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Support

  • Budgeting: Support the forecasting and annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide analysis and insight for ad-hoc requests from Sensience Executive Leadership Team

 

 

 

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Strategy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (e.g. Oracle, OneStream, Statistical Modeling Tools).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within short time constraints in a complex system and business environment.
