Yorktel is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will support the FP&A team as the analytical engine of the company, providing insights and supporting βoptimalβ business decision making, undertaking financial consulting and providing strategic support to Senior/Executive Management. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and enables management and key stakeholders to be informed of financial and operational performance of the business. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the business processes of the company working closely with the organization to close any gaps. Β Β
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop various aspects of the companyβs rolling forecasts using data from diverse systems and sources.
- Maintain forecasts regarding sales bookings and backlog, revenue and profitability on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Develop and enhance forecasting tools, including Workday Adaptive Planning software, creating efficiencies and automation.
- Assist management in development of financial and operational metrics for effective monitoring of financial and operational performance.
- Provide pro forma financial and operational analysis as needed by management and key stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of customer profitability analysis, administering reviews with program and customer success managers.
- Challenge the status quo of current practices to ensure accurate planning.
- Perform forecast to actual variance analysis.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and recommendations
- Collaborate with departments across to company to understand their goals and maintain updated forecasts.
- Participate in projects as required, for example analysis of new products.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to navigate and execute analysis and reporting in financial planning software such as Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Ability to grasp a clear understanding of the business needs and processes from top to bottom, from the sales funnel, through operational profitability and staffing planning, to capex and cash flow strategies.
- Analytics driven with the ability to organize large amounts of data from multiple sources into reportable financial measures and offer innovative solutions.
- Ability to deliver variance analysis against forecasts and plans in a clear and timely fashion to enable business leaders to make informed decisions.
- A self starter with exceptional communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at same time.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, accounting, or a related analytical role.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning software highly preferred
- Bachelorβs Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred.

- Travel within the NJ area 20% time
- Domestic travel (outside of NJ) 5%
