BIOTRONIK is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to our Finance team.  The Senior Financial Analyst will lead the optimization of processes related to the collection, processing, analysis, and communication of financial performance, crucial for supporting the company’s strategic goals. This role involves collaborating with individuals at all organizational levels, including senior management, functional leadership, staff, and peers, to report, monitor, and manage key financial performance indicators.

 

Key responsibilities include maintaining and transforming the SAP-based financial processes for the US-based entities of a global, privately held medical device group. Additionally, the role entails assisting in the development and implementation of best practices in financial planning, budgeting, modeling, and analysis across multiple facets of the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop financial modeling, financial statement analysis, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Drive the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget and financial forecasts.
  • Interact with local and global management on a regular basis to provide insight on the organization’s financial performance. Identify potential risks and advise on solutions.
  • Plan, analyze and report expenses, assets and capital investments on an overall company, cost center, division, and project basis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare ROI and NPV forecasts for capital investment and business case proposals.
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated reporting on actuals and forecasts.
  • Manage, in partnership with the company’s corporate and regional cost center owners, the corporate G&A (general and administrative) expenses, focusing on headcount, operating expense budgeting, forecasting, and spending targets.
  • Assist in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plan, and modeling tools.
  • Analyze actual operating results and identify key financial and operating issues to be addressed; quantify actual results versus plan. Communicate reasons for variance and make proposals for steering.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance/Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Commitment to attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
  • Ability to present and communicate financial information in a simple, concise manner to non-financial leaders and peers.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple departments throughout the organization.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to meet deadlines, collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and proven ability working with general ledger accounting.
  • Metric & KPI development and analysis. 
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Innovation and creativity.
  • Willingness and ability to drive change and improve processes. 
  • Advanced Excel. Ability to work with large datasets.
  • SAP experience, preferred.
  • Experience using Business Intelligence software tools. Especially QlikSense and SAP Analysis for Office, preferred.
  • Cost accounting experience, preferred. Cost analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Pricing analysis experience, preferred.
  • Workday Adaptive Planning, preferred.

 

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, operating in a professional office environment and remotely at home up to 3 days a week. 
 

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Standard days of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
