Summary: Ā
This position will be located at Avalign Corporate Headquarters in Rosemont, IL, but will primarily be supporting the manufacturing facility in Mentor, OH. This position will work closely with the Vice President of Finance and site leadership to develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting standards for the manufacturing business and assists with financial planning/forecasting and analysis including tracking and reporting plant Total Cost Productivity initiatives. In addition to being the primary support for the Mentor, OH manufacturing site, this position will also assist with various Avalign corporate/shared services month end close and reporting activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Mentor, OH Site Specific:
ā¢ Ā Ā Supports month end close process including preparing of key account reconciliations, processing journal entries
ā¢ Ā Ā Conducts month end tracking, reporting and analysis including completion of site āBowlerā Charts and Total Cost Productivity (TCP) initiatives
ā¢ Ā Ā Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting standards for manufacturing operations. Analyzes standard cost variances to identify root causes on a regular basis and reports key drivers for variances to site management team
ā¢ Ā Ā Generates weekly site spend reporting and analysis to evaluate leverage of site costs and provide basis for corrective actionsĀ
ā¢ Ā Ā Generates weekly manufacturing reports for operations management efficiency reporting including interacting with site management team when necessary to understand variances
ā¢ Ā Ā Drives annual planning/forecasting process to develop standards including hours and productivity. Helps to identify recommendations to site leadership regarding cost saving and profit improvement opportunities
ā¢ Ā Ā Develops and improves existing trackers used to identify and report timely variance to standards
ā¢ Ā Ā Leads ongoing forecasting including revenue, standard margin and EBITDA and cash flow performance
ā¢ Ā Ā Manages site capital requirements including processing monthly capital project requests, fixed asset tracking and forecasting and development of annual capital requirementsĀ
Corporate Specific:
ā¢ Ā Ā Assists with analysis/reporting for the Ortho Operations organization including monthly operational metrics and leading indicators
ā¢ Ā Ā Assists other Avalign Shared Service processes including consolidated Fixed Asset tracking/reporting and Concur Travel & Entertainment Reporting
ā¢ Ā Ā Assists with Ortho Siteās Accounts Receivable and Payable Shared Services processing
ā¢ Ā Ā Other Ad Hoc and corporate projects
Ā
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
ā¢ Ā Ā Bachelorās degree in Accounting and/or Finance (CPA a plus)
ā¢ Ā Ā Four+ years of related financial analysis and accounting experienceĀ
ā¢ Ā Ā Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related federal and state regulations
ā¢ Ā Ā Knowledge and experience with ERP Systems (Epicor ERP system a plus)
ā¢ Ā Ā High proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of database tools (i.e., Power BI)
ā¢ Ā Ā Strong analytical and technical skills to quickly analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projectionsĀ
ā¢ Ā Ā Work requires strong professional written and verbal communication skills to lead and participate in cross functional group meetings
ā¢ Ā Ā Ability to manage several projects to achieve targeted delivery dates
ā¢ Ā Ā Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead key initiativesĀ
ā¢ Ā Ā Ability to work in a cross functional and dynamic environment
ā¢ Ā Ā Position is based at Avalign Corporate HQ with periodic travel to site (10% travel required)Ā
