We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Investment Operations Data Analyst to join our Pacific Life Investment Operations team in Newport Beach, CA.Β This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As an Sr. Investment Operations Data Analyst, you will play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by:

  • Ensuring efficient and accurate Investment Operations

  • Maintaining Data Integrity

  • Providing Business Analysis and support to our internal and external teams.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Craft and refine dashboards that display complex data streams in comprehensible visual formats. Regularly update and adapt reports in line with changing business needs and objectives.

  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to develop solutions to better support our growing investment activities.

  • Embody a mindset of continuous improvement to identify enhancements of tools, processes and controls that can further facilitate and streamline investment operations.

  • Work closely with functional process owners (Fixed Income, Derivatives and Reconciliations) to ensure valuable and robust solutions

  • Validate operational data for accuracy, consistency and completeness

  • Design, analyze, document, and provide specifications for business processes

  • Identify and propose solutions for improving business processes to reduce errors and increase efficiency.

  • Design controls that ensure company objectives are met

  • Collaborate with users in the design, testing, and implementation of the changes

  • Perform any other job-related duties, as assigned.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar field, or equivalent experience.

  • At minimum of 5+ years of Investment Operations experience, preferably with several years of working with fixed income and derivative products and the related data and systems

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional logical and analytical skills, with a strong ability to conduct research, identify issues, and solve problems.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Familiarity with several of the following: SAP Business Objects, Calypso, PAM (State Street), Power BI/Power Query/Excel and SQL.

What makes you stand out:

  • Five years of related industry experience: Investment Operations

  • Prior working experience with SQL, Business Objects and/or Power BI.

  • Familiarity with process automation tools.

  • Proficient in ensuring data integrity, and in developing and maintaining reports and controls to ensure data is accurate, relevant, and delivered promptly.

  • Excellent analytical abilities for investigating problems and recommending solutions.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$110,700.00 - $135,300.00
