DescriptionThe analyst will work as a part of the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Global Strategic Event Marketing (SEM), Sponsorships and Tickets, and Creative Services team, which focuses on strategic direction and content delivery of franchise client events, sponsorships and tickets and creative services. The focus for this role will be on Investment Banking events in North America.Β
As a Strategic Event Marketing Analyst you will engage with a broad range of business partners within Strategic Event Marketing as well as with the Investment Banking business and other areas of the firm.Β In addition, you will assist other team members in strategic execution, plans and protocols, in addition to joining project work streams and data maintenance. TheΒ goals of Commercial & Investment Bank events are to help Investment Banking increase client business, deepen existing client relationships, learn to enhance efficiencies for all internal partners and maintain the J.P. Morgan brand standard.Β
Job responsibilities:
- Learn and apply the fundamentals of the business, target audiences and department goals and translate the knowledge into successful client events
- Assist other marketers in the development and implementation of an event strategy to support business goals
- Work independently on multiple programs and tasks to deliver event-related projects at the same time with different Event Marketers as the lead
- Contribute to the planning and execution of events, including, but not limited to: venue research; data maintenance and integrity; internal and external communications; invitation creation, testing and distribution; pre-event tasks, including audio/visual and technical requirements; on-site staffing and support; post-event tasks, such as reviewing survey data and supporting debriefs
- Handle administrative tasks, e.g., manage, review and reconcile reports (RSVP, delegation, registration, dinner assignments, etc.); managing event supplies and shipping; premium research and ordering; and production tasks of event materials like name badges, biographies, speaker introductions, briefing memos and printing
- Work directly with vendors on the creation, negotiation, and branding of premium client giveaways.
- Become a βsuper userβ of core event related technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- BA degree
- 0+ years of experience in events, marketing or a related field, preferably in the financial industry, internship experience relevant as wellΒ
- Proficiency with firm-wide systems or ability to quickly learn systems
- Requires some travel (around 20%)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing
- Detail-oriented and organized with a strength in project and data management
- Proactive, self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated
- Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against timelines
- Ability to multitask and be flexible in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve/think independently
- Willingness to be a team player and consistently interact with peers, partners, management, relationship managers and clientsΒ
- Must be able to tackle any task, trouble shoot and exemplify a positive attitude and commitment to success
