Work closely with both the business and IT teams, with a focus on Home, Renters, and Condo products. As a member of IT Operations, this person will partner with an IT Manager to collect KPI, OKRs and reporting requirements and creating visual dashboards to present in Homesite's reporting tools. In addition this person will also be a key contributor to influencing the business and technical analysis process across the entire Homesite enterprise.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge of data visualization techniques and visual design concepts
  • Design and develop user friendly dashboards using complex health care datasets from different sources
  • Create high performance visualizations that address strategic and tactical business needs
  • Develop reusable modular templates, connected dashboards and self-service reporting
  • Evaluate dashboard performance periodically and improve dashboard load/refresh times
  • Cross function/segment group facilitation/presentation to increase awareness and promote adoption of dashboards
  • Showcase outcomes/results of statistical models on intuitive dashboards
  • Mentor internal development team and promote analytics opportunities
  • Implement best practices to ensure dashboard design consistency across all dashboards for best user experience
  • Very good understanding of relational data structures and skilled in writing complex data analysis queries

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology/Systems, Technical Communications, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 + years of relevant experience leading efforts around business/functional/system requirements
  • Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies
  • Experience writing advanced SQL queries
  • Insurance industry experience a plus, but not required
