The Technical Data Specialist will play a critical role in managing, analyzing, and interpreting technical data to support our operational and strategic goals for the Garland brand. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Responsibilities include identifying errors in data previously entered in multiple databases and making necessary corrections to ensure accurate data storage. The Specialist will collaborate with teams, engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to streamline interdepartmental processes and simplify daily tasks.


Major AccountabilityΒ 



  • Data Management and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of technical data across multiple databases and systems. Identify, troubleshoot, and correct errors in data entry and storage.

  • Collaboration and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accessibility.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze technical data to extract meaningful insights and support operational and strategic decision-making. Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings to cross-functional teams.


Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesΒ 



  • Identify and correct inconsistent information across multiple databases. Work with relevant teams to determine updates.

  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to the team and execute approved changes to systems/processes.

  • Work cross-functionally among teams to collect the most up to date and accurate information and identify potential issues arising from current database information and conflicts.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights; prepare reports that support decision-making processes.

  • Provide support to the Technical Services Department to obtain department objectives and support technicians.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing and documenting technical data.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Project Management Knowledge: Understanding of project management principles to assist in managing data-related projects and initiatives.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to service performed by a third party.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes in a dynamic work environment.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Salesforce, and database systems.
