Overview

The IT Department is seeking a motivated Business Analyst Co-Op who will be based out of the O’Fallon, MO office. This position will serve as Business Analyst/Quality Assurance for an agile team working on a project backlog for ERP system, custom applications, and reports. This role will be responsible for project documentation and setting up the test process that will be followed during the project life cycle.Β 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform Business Analysis and Quality Assurance tasks for an agile development team.
  • Complete self-paced training and gain knowledge on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and Microsoft toolset.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes such as Creating/Grooming Stories, Acceptance Testing, Demo Day, Sprint Reviews, Daily Stand Ups and Retrospective.
  • Follow documentation standards for assigned projects, meeting minutes and change process.
  • Actively update assigned tickets and assigned tasks in Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst and developers to create and execute test scripts (Manual and/or automated) to provide the means and the measure for testing all aspects of a software solution, both functionally and technically, to meet the requirements and overall quality of the intended solution.
  • Effectively report bugs and issues and work with teams thru resolution.
  • Conduct post-release/post implementation testing on multiple environments.
  • Define regression tests for future projects.
  • Regular and reliable attendance in the office is required.
  • This position will offer a work from home option of one day per week, with the other four days being based in office.

Qualifications

  • Full time college student, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business systems, computer science, management information systems or similar field required.
  • Candidate must have completed at least 60 college credit hours.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office 365 applications.
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance, prioritize, and organize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations.
  • Microsoft SQL database and Access skills preferred.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) coursework or experience is a plus.

The duration of this co-op is January to August, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
