Data Specialist

Primary Purpose

 

Assist administration by providing clerical support through data input, providing reports, and maintaining accurate records. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

 

Qualifications

 

Education/Certification/Licensure

  • High School diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting/bookkeeping systems
  • Strong organizational skills

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years general office experience, including using a computer

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Input data on student systems as requested by administrative staff or head counselor.
  2. Input STAAR data into computer and keep STAAR no-mastery data current.
  3. Be responsible for PEIMS data accuracy.
  4. Maintain demographic files on students.
  5. Be accountable for accuracy of all required enrollment forms.
  6. Verify accuracy of all student data.
  7. Deal professionally with highly confidential student and teacher information.
  8. Responsible for implementation and printing the following: progress reports, student rosters, grade sheets, student report cards, demographic labels, attendance reports, eligibility reports, class rosters, error reports, failure reports.
  9. Responsible for maintaining auditable documents and ensuring all special programs coordinators have verified and approved data.
  10. Attend workshops/updates.

  17. Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  18. Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  19. Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  20. Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  21. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  22. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  23. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  24. Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
