JOB SUMMARY
The Data Analyst collects, analyzes, and interprets large data sets to provide valuable insights to support business decision-making. They collaborate with various teams to identify key metrics, develop reports, and create visualizations to communicate complex data clearly and concisely. This position is part of the Innovation Division, where products and processes are reviewed and inspected to maintain the highest standards.
The Innovation Division utilizes analytical skills to manage projects and evaluate the agencyβs operations, including internal structure, business processes, and information technology infrastructure, and develop methods for improvement. Its focus is on streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The functions performed by employees in this position may include the following:
ο·Β Β Β Identify data issues and inconsistencies and recommend solutions for improving data quality.
ο·Β Β Β Support decision-making with data-driven insights and strategies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to candidates who have one or more of the following:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Exhibit manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate a computer, keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Ability to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids. Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels, with or without aids. Ability to communicate clearly. Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds, to bend, stoop, climb stairs, walk and reach. Duties are normally performed in an office environment with a moderate noise level.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
The Oklahoma Tax Commission's normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This schedule may require minor flexibility based on the agency's needs.
Telework may be required based on the needs of the agency, division, and section. If applicable, the applicant must be willing and able to work BOTH on-site and telework at an off-site location, generally in the applicantβs home. The applicant must have a secure internet connection and a dedicated telephone (landline) or smartphone device during scheduled working hours.
