We are looking for a passionate data analyst to join our dynamic Digital Marketing team at Bio-Techne. Along with other analysts on the Bio-Techne marketing team, this role supports data-driven channel decisions with analysis, reporting, budget and KPI forecasts, and actionable recommendations.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in joining data from multiple data sources, building and automating reports and visualizing data in tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, DOMO or Power BI. Knowledge of digital marketing channels like SEM, SEO, Social Media or Display is a must.
A day in the life:
- Collaborate with team members to measure and report on digital marketing initiatives
- Align with digital team members on problem statements, requirements for reporting or dashboards and design solutions collaboratively
- Closely partner with other marketing analytics teams and functions at Bio-Techne to ensure alignment on tracking and reporting, and leverage best practices, maintain data pipelines and curate digital channel-specific dashboards
- Handle and integrate large volumes of data from various sources and provide actionable insights to the digital marketing team
- Collaborate with SEM team and streamline current reporting and SEM budget forecasting processes to achieve time savings for the entire team
- Take ownership of automating manual data pulls and reporting processes and partner with other digital team members to implement updated workflows
- Take the lead on forecasting digital channel goals and ensure ongoing tracking and reporting of them
- Collaborate with paid media teams on defining seasonal budget forecasting methodologies, using historical data to make informed decisions
- Develop and maintain digital channel (e.g. SEM, SEO) performance dashboards; monitor and optimize reporting to improve digital marketing program success
- Monitor and provide competitor insights to support an integrated SEO and SEM strategy
- Lead digital marketing roadmap items and be an active member of various project teams evolving around strategic digital marketing projects
- Prioritize projects based on projected impact and ensure deliverables are accurate, efficient, and address root causes and problem statements
- Provide project status updates to leadership, stakeholders and business partners outlining timelines, accomplishments, open questions, and risks
- Stay informed with digital marketing industry best practices, trends and technologies
- Support Google Tag Manager event tracking setup
- Support Google Analytics 4 configuration to ensure accurate data collection and tracking of user interactionsΒ
Keys to Success:
Education
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in B2B customer-driven digital marketing or eCommerce
- 2+ years of advanced hands-on experience with analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
- Advanced hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Advanced experience in budget forecasting for digital marketing channels for large annual budgets (>$8MM)
- Experience with data management
- Experience with data warehouse or data hub solutions (e.g. Big Query, Funnel)
- Strong Excel skills for bulk operations and process improvements
- Deep understanding of data attribution models
- Advanced understanding of paid search (SEM) and organic Search (SEO) and respective channel systems (e.g., Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Moz, Search Ads 360, Adobe Ad Cloud, STAT) preferred
- Experience with backlog management tools (e.g., Workfront, Jira)Β preferred
- Experience with GA4 configuration preferred
- Experience with client side GTM data layer and server side GTM preferred
