Job Summary (Paragraph)

The Engineering Process, Methods, Tools & Data Specialist reports to the Head of Aircraft Development and manages the engineering activity occurring within product development. This position's core focus is to establish and optimize engineering processes, IT architecture, and data governance across various engineering disciplines. The specialist ensures the efficient integration and interaction of engineering tools (CAD, PLM, simulation, etc.), while maintaining robust data governance policies. Additionally, the specialist will oversee software license acquisition in collaboration with the supply chain team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and Optimize Processes:聽Develop and implement efficient digital engineering processes and methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • IT Architecture Management:聽Design and oversee the IT architecture for engineering tools, determining the optimal placement of tools (cloud or servers) and ensuring seamless integration.
  • Tool Interaction:聽Facilitate the interaction and integration of various digital engineering tools, including CAD, PLM, simulation, version control system and others, to streamline workflows by creating automations scripts.
  • Data Governance:聽Create and enforce data governance policies, including data location, export control, and data security measures.
  • Software License Acquisition:聽Oversee the acquisition and management of software licenses in collaboration with the supply chain team to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Documentation:聽Prepare documentation on processes, IT architecture, and data governance policies.
  • Training and Support:聽Train and support engineering staff in adopting new methods, technologies, IT systems, and data governance practices.

Qualifications:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience: Minimum of 5 years in aerospace engineering, with at least 2 years in a Methods and Tool Development role.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Expertise: Good knowledge of engineering processes and tools, and digital integration and ability to use programming to streamline interactions between various tools.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical challenges.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Communication: Good communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders in following agreed processes and ready to provide training to other team members.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Education:聽Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Desired Attributes:

  • Deep knowledge of modern engineering tools and tool development.
  • Previous experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions and cloud services.
  • Understanding of roles & responsibilities, tasks, policies, and procedures required to manage various engineering activities.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional environment that prioritizes the success of the overall program and company goals.
  • Understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and associated markings.
