Job Description:

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Analyst Intern to join our team and contribute to our data-driven culture. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data manipulation and analysis, statistical modeling, and data pipeline development. 

Full time summer internship lasts about 10-12 weeks, beginning in May/June. This will be a hybrid office role based in Waltham, MA.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, transform and manipulate data using SQL, Python or R.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data trends, distributions and potential correlations. 
  • Apply statistical methods, such as T-test and ANCOVA, to analyze and interpret relationships within data.
  • Develop data pipelines to automate data related process.
  • Maintain proper documentation for the data processing workflows, code, statistical methodologies etc. 

 



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and summarization. Experience working with relational databases preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Python or R for data processing and analysis, including libraries like Pandas, NumPy, or dplyr. Experience using Dataiku preferred. 
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and techniques. Knowledge of machine learning or statistical modeling is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

 

Preferred Qualifications/Abilities:

  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Ability to automate repetitive tasks and data pipelines using languages like Python or R, ensuring smooth and error-free execution in analytics environment.
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with troubleshooting and promptly resolving issues related to data quality, discrepancies, or analysis processes.
  • Highly analytical; always look for new ways to examine data.
  • Strong attention to detail and process to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule in our Waltham office.
