Join Midstate Radiology Associates (MRA) as a Junior Business Analyst:

Location: Meriden, CT (MidState Medical Center) and Wallingford, CT. This position isΒ on-site position.

Position Schedule: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; 40 hours/week.

Compensation:Β Starting salary for this position will range between $64,000 to $80,000 annually depending on related qualifications and work experience.Β

Job Summary: Β  Β Β 

The Junior Business Analyst will work closely with the Business Analyst and Access Center Manager to accomplish creating analytical reports for radiology executive leadership. The analytical reports will focus on general radiology operations and access center operations.

Key Accountabilities:Β 

  1. Run and download daily, weekly, and monthly reports to excel from various systems.
  2. Interacts with clinical imaging and access center managers to understand their reporting needs, and provide visuals based on user needs and requirements.
  3. Interested in learning complex workflows and how to represent those workflows with data.
  4. Ensures timeliness and accuracy of reports.
  1. Shows self-initiative in performing research and obtaining needed data.
  2. Conduct analysis of large sets of data with limited guidance and effectively communicate the findings. Data sets focused on access center analytics.
  3. Maintain various analytic tools across multiple imaging departments to best support the operations team.
  4. Support the Business Analyst and Access Center Manager with ad hoc reporting requests.
  5. Leveraging data, provides recommendations and identify areas of opportunity for growth.
  1. Helps to write business case proposals, including detailed cost/benefit analysis and ROI.Β 
  2. Conduct analysis of large sets of data with limited guidance.

Qualifications Guidelines:

Education Required: Β Β 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related field, or other analytical concentration.
  • Zero to one years’ experience in analytics related field with demonstrated effective communication skills is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Strong excel skills with experience working with large data sets.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.Β 
  • Detail oriented and organized.Β 
  • Works independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can do / say yes attitude.
  • Responds well to feedback.
  • Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience working with healthcare or access center metrics is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Β 
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
