The Position
The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Β This role will support the corporate financial planning and analysis function by providing ongoing financial analysis of consolidated business performance as well as performance at the division level.Β

This is a highly visible role within Overhead Door Corporation’s headquarters. Β The right candidate will develop, analyze and review business performance as well as be involved in a wide range of other analytical and strategic activities. This role requires highly skilled analytical and project management talent. A motivated individual with a demonstrated understanding of finance, economics and strategy is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical support for month end close process including divisional reviews, variance analysis, account reviews, etc. - multi-division/multi-national environment.
  • Consolidate and report results from monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and long range strategic planning efforts.
  • Analyze, interpret and explain actual results against a range of comparators to identify issues and areas of opportunity.
  • Conduct analysis and develop/maintain presentations for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Influence cross-functional business partners and effectively provide the finance point-of-view on complex business issues to team members and Senior Management.
  • Maintain benchmarking analytics, both internal and external, which are used as gauges of business performance.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and other various financial related projects.
  • Create, maintain and deploy financial models and analytical tools.
  • Provide support as an active liaison with ODC’s Japanese leadership team.


Qualifications
Qualifications
  • 3 to 7 years of progressively increasing work experience, ideally in a similar capacity.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
  • Must have a strong financial acumen and be very detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills with multi-tasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface and work with a wide variety of individuals at all levels including experience supporting C-level executives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Explicit ability to lead and to track complex global projects, with a clear track record of owning projects/initiatives/analyses from conception through final presentation.
  • In depth experience developing analytical tools, processes and templates.
  • Able to frame analysis, identify insights from complex data sets and synthesize how those insights might impact business strategy.
  • Professional and approachable style.
  • Ability to work overtime as need.
  • Advanced level Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong Hyperion Essbase experience is required.
  • ACCESS is a plus. Oracle is a plus.

Education

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and/or Business preferred.
  • CPA a plus.
