The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets will lead the strategy, acquisition, governance, and productization of data assets to support multiple capital market client use cases and clientsโ key business decisions.
The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets will oversee and optimize the value of data assets specifically targeted at capital markets client use cases.
The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets is a subject matter expert, identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends and ensuring data effectively supports business drivers.
The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets role involves collaborating across departments, ensuring data relevance and fit, and driving initiatives to maximize the utility and profitability of data as a strategic asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute the strategy for managing and monetizing data assets aligned with organizational growth goals for the capital markets space.Conduct extensive market research to identify relevant data sources and stay updated with emerging data trends, client needs, regulations, and reporting frameworks.Execute test contracts, retrieve testing deliverables, negotiate new contracts, and create custom SLAs to secure the best terms and value.Collaborate with senior leaders to prioritize data initiatives based on business impact and clientsโ stated needs.Serve as the primary point of contact for all capital markets data-related matters. Liaise with business units, product teams, and external partners to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.Identify opportunities to commercialize data assets, including partnerships, licensing, and new product development.Monitor emerging trends in capital markets and data technologies to anticipate future needs and opportunities.Education:
Bachelor's Degree - RequiredMaster's Degree - PreferredEssential Skills:
7+ years of experience in capital markets, preferably in data-related roles.Deep understanding of capital markets, including financial instruments, trading, and regulatory requirements.Proven track record in data strategy and monetization.Strong analytical skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Show an ownership mindset in everything you do; be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action, be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success.Continuous growth mindset, keep learning through social experiences and relationships with stakeholders, experts, colleagues and mentors as well as widen and broaden your competencies through structural courses and programs.Where applicable, fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market.Benefits We Offer
