Tableau Developer

Our Client is looking for a Tableau / Python Developer, responsible for creating computer systems and data visualization solutions to improve business processes. This role will include tasks such as generating Tableau dashboard reports, creating business intelligence reports and visualizations, and work with developers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, conduct unit testing, and maintain complex Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.

o Maintain and create new data preparation scripts.

o Management of Tableau server related python scripts.

o Participate in dashboard development focusing on updating and debugging of existing tableau dashboards.

• Provide technical expertise in the areas of architecture, design, and implementation. 

• Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team.

• Resolve support tickets related to Tableau reports.

• Analyze information and make evaluative judgements to recommend solutions and improvements.

• Conduct testing and debugging, utilizing script tools, and writing basic code for design specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years of relevant experience in developing Tableau driven dashboards and analytics.

• 5 years of SQL development experience

• 5 years of experience in Python development 

• 5 years of experience with Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)

• 3 years of UI/UX design experience 

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years of relevant experience in developing and working Tableau driven dashboards, analytics.

• 10 years of experience in Python development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools 

• 10 years of experience with Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)

• Experience with Azure or Azure ML infrastructure, Snowflake and APIs

• Investment management experience
