Tell me more about this role, what would I be doing?

The Technical Business Analyst (TBA) will work directly with our internal team to identify and document business requirements for application features and application enhancements. This SME position will require knowledge of the Enterprise Application service offering suite. The TBA will assist in the development of solutions per customer business requirements, and assist with setup and implementation of the application for our customers.

Essential Duties and Functions: include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Experience creating technical documentation, such as business requirements and/or functional requirements by working with managers, end-users and technical staff.
  • Experience deconstructing technological solutions for the purpose of documentation of current products and processes.
  • Experience performing, analyzing, and documenting gap analysis (i.e., current process vs. proposed process).
  • Participate in the development of documentation for training for program change requests used by end users. Conduct training as assigned.
  • Assisting with application program testing, and quality assurance as required to vet veracity of business specifications. 
  • Ability to work closely with development, operational and functional departments as necessary (i.e., technical and non-technical staff).
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to act as a liaison between business users and the IT programming and development staff to write and assess new business requirements and change requests.
  • Develop and execute software test plans as well as documentation of test result.  This will include testing both new program changes and fixes to all applications.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and on-the-job experience.
  • 2-5 years of software application testing experience.
  • 2-5 years of technical documentation creation experience
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Preferred

  • 3+ years of technical business analysis and/or quality assurance preferred
  • Experience with Jira, Tempo, Confluence, and Smartsheets desired

Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:

  • Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.
  • Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
  • Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive motion

Pay Ranges:

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more.  We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.
