Role: Business Analyst (Consultant)

Position Description:

Money Movement NextGen is a multi-year initiative to modernize the money movement platform and the underlying technology infrastructure supporting all payment channels. It is aiming to establish a proprietary money movement platform adopting the latest technology to minimize the risk caused by age, fragility, and complexity, simplify front to back business process and enable key strategic initiatives across the firm. Our platform is built for our field users who perform money movement functions for their clients via different payment types like Wires, Journals, ACH. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with the squad to define the scope and functionality for the NextGen book of work. The candidate should have previous experience with requirement writing in the form of User Stories. The ideal candidate embodies the firms? core values, is team oriented, collaborates across the organization, and leads with excellence and innovation.


Responsibilities:

Work as part of the NextGen Agile Squad/Fleet on defining platform features by writing User Stories Analyze business processes, functions and procedures across multiple business units

-Create user stories for business and functional requirements, including workflow, business rules, and use cases.

-Design business intelligence tools and dashboards to show project KPIs.

-Meet business unit objectives including cost estimates, date commitments and functionality

-Act as liaison between business units and software development teams, management and users.

-Become a subject matter expert for banking product data.

-Assist data consumers and development teams by taking on data research/analysis tasks and answering questions about the data.

-Assist with QA/Testing to develop test plans and more detailed test cases.

-Work with the project team and business to identify and resolve issues that arise during projects or as part of day to day business operations.

-Actively contribute and participate in design and architecture discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile Sprint planning sessions


Required Skills:

-5-7 years of experience in a business analyst role.

-Understanding of basics of systems design such as multi-tier platforms

-Flexible and open-minded for alternative solutions and able to drive implementation quickly with high degree of quality.

-Strong analytical and people skills, including thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

-Excellent verbal and presentation skills.

-Self-motivated, innovative and can work independently as well as in a team environment

-Proficient in MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word and PowerPoint Willingness to learn and grow. Experience within an Agile framework.

-Desired Skills Understand how to create user flows and UI mockups Ability to read basic Java or pseudo code Previous experience with emphasis on cash management and payments experience
