Team Profile The Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (LCR) Technology organization provides IT support to our company Legal and Compliance division. LCR IT has a number of departments, such as Fraud Technology, Trade Surveillance and Financial Crimes Technology. The FA Monitoring team builds and executes complex surveillance models that focus on monitoring the Financial Advisor and Portfolio Risk Management of Firm's Wealth Management functions.

A Business Data Analyst in the space focuses on supporting Business Analysts, Developers, and Compliance and Risk users through a variety of tools, as well as assisting in data preparation and exploration, with hands-on participation in larger analytics projects. Role Profile The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below but in addition should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who can work well with both technical and non-technical audiences. In addition, the candidate should respond well to change and quickly pick up new concepts, as well as devising new approaches for solving challenges in the space. Technical and analytics skills combined with strong interpersonal communication skills are required.

Skills Required

- 3+ years of appropriate technical experience

- Experience with Python and Jupyter or other notebook tools - Experience with Tableau or a similar tool such as Looker or Power BI

- Experience with web development with Python frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI

- Experience with Python data analysis and visualization libraries such pandas, matplotlib, Altair, etc.

- Strong SQL skills

- Hands-on data mining and analytical work experience

- Knowledge of data analytics tools and methods

- A demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, languages, and libraries

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional approach

- A working knowledge of Git

- Linux command line skills Skills Desired - Experience with data preparation, engineering, and analytic tools
