Business Intelligence Engineer Job Description:

BGR is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Engineer in Business Intelligence (BI) to support BGR’s continued growth. This individual will have the ability and responsibility of architecting, building and delivering new and improved business impacting capabilities across BGR.  The ability to personally drive and deliver game-changing capabilities to a growing company which will enable that company to deliver new and innovative business solutions is unique to this role.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data analytics and BI space with the desire to deliver significant impact at BGR.  This candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Azure and Power BI, along with strong cloud knowledge, communication skills, and a background in ETL/Data Warehousing, specifically using the Boomi platform.  With these skills and a strong desire to drive change, the successful candidate will be able to make a difference in a manner that is not readily available in larger companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, Develop and Maintain BI Solutions – Design, implement, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business users.  Drive and support the BI strategy, acting as a key resource for all BGR BI initiatives.
• Be a key decision-maker in technical architecture and tools.
• Provide Technical Support & Training – Act as a BI subject matter expert, helping business users understand and effectively use Power BI tools.  Be an expert in BI tools, specifically Power BI.  Proficient in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting languages for BI customization and automation.
• Optimize Cloud-Based BI Infrastructure – Leverage Microsoft Azure services to improve performance, scalability, and reliability of BI solutions.   Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus
• Collaborate with Stakeholders – Work closely with business leaders, analysts, and technical teams to understand BI needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.  Must possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and stakeholders as well as have the ability to convey complex BI concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ensure Data Integrity & Security – Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security across the BI platform.
• Stay Ahead of BI Trends – Continuously research and integrate new BI technologies and methodologies to keep BGR at the forefront of data-driven decision-making.

Skill Requirements:

• 3-5 years of Proven experience as an Engineer in Business Intelligence.
• 3-5 years of expertise in BI tools such as PowerBI.
• 3-5 years of Cloud experience, with Azure certifications, is considered a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective customer interactions and stakeholder engagement.
• Programming and scripting proficiency for BI customization and automation.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Specific understanding or experience with the Boomi platform is considered a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A continuous learner, staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in BI.
