Description Of Job Duties
Works with functional and technical teams to document current state, gaps, and future state to optimize process efficiency. Evaluates effect of process changes on business, systems, and integrated processes. Accesses vendor support sites to investigate and resolve support issues for business stakeholders. Writes and modifies reports utilizing reporting tools. Prepares and delivers business process models for technological solutions to document process roles, responsibilities, and process activities. Writes SQL queries to analyze and create end-user reports. Serves as subject matter expert in the continuous improvement of the business analysis methodology and application of business analysis tools. Processes and conducts system analysis. Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Summary
The IT Project Manager/Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams across domestic and international UIW sites to facilitate business analysis and management of project activities. Key responsibilities include managing project operations to support the successful implementation of technological processes and/or system improvements. Additionally, the IT Project Manager/Business Analyst is responsible for assessing business processes, documenting requirements, and delivering data-driven processes and/or technological recommendations that will improve efficiencies and add value. The IT Project Manager/Business Analyst reports to the Assistant Director of Enterprise Applications.
Physical Demands
Ability to regularly move about campus to attend meetings on and off main campus.
Preferred Qualifications
Four (4) years of professional experience in the field of business analysis. Three (3) years experience facilitating business process reviews, documenting current processes, gaps, and desired future state. Three (3) years experience working in an educational/university environment. Three (3) experience working with Ellucian Banner Applications. Three (3) years of experience facilitating business process reviews and documenting outcomes. Three (3) years of experience using reporting tools such as Argos and Microsoft Power BI. Knowledge of higher education administrative areas and their function, such as the roles within the recruitment, admissions, registration, billing, and business/finance departments. Familiarity with higher education organizational structure, policies, and procedures. Business Analysis or Project Management certification. Bilingual in Spanish.
